 David Dukes Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship, established in memory of the late actor David Coleman Dukes, is awarded annually to a third-year Theater Arts student working toward a career in stage acting. A bronze plaque commemorating the scholarship benefit held in David Coleman Dukes' name can be seen in the lobby of the Bing Theater, off Queen's Court on the USC campus.

The 4th Annual Bold Ink Awards will be held at The Recording Academy & GRAMMY Foundation in Santa Monica on Thursday, April 1st, from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. The award was created to celebrate the empowering work of ‘fierce’ women writers.

This year's honorees are:
Nancy Meyers, writer/director "It's Complicated";
Elizabeth Sarnoff, executive producer/writer "Lost";
Marisa Silver, author "The God of War";
Patricia Seyburn, poet "Hilarity"; and
Lynda Resnick, entrepreneur/author "Rubies in the Orchard".

The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception and a silent auction of high-end items, followed by the awards ceremony. Special guest presenters include past Bold Ink honorees California Poet Laureate, Carol Muske Dukes and screenwriter, Robin Swicord (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”).

Tickets are $75 and $150 for VIP tickets which include preferred seating, a copy of WriteGirl’s new anthology “Silhouette” and a gift bag.
