David was
nominated for TONY for Bent as well as a NY Critics Drama Desk Award. David
was a semi-regular on DAWSON'S CREEK -- he'd also been a regular on SISTERS,
THE MOMMIES and appeared on "The Practice" and "Law and Order"
and many mini-series and Movies-of-the-Week, including "The Josephine Baker
Story" (for which he was nominated for an Emmy), Last Stand at Sabre River,
(with Tom Selleck), Norma Jean and Marilyn, Life of the Party, The Winds of
War, War and Remembrance -- and many many others.
His films
included GODS AND MONSTERS, SUPREME SANCTION, FLED, SEE YOU IN THE MORNING,
FIRST DEADLY SIN, RAWHEAD REX, THE MEN'S CLUB, ONLY WHEN I LAUGH, A LITTLE ROMANCE,
THE WILD PARTY, WITHOUT A TRACE, etc.
David was
trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and performed
in countless stage productions, including (on Broadway), Arthur Miller's BROKEN
GLASS, SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER ME (with Michael York), LOVE LETTERS, M. BUTTERFLY,
AMADEUS, FRANKENSTEIN, BENT (with Richard Gere), TRAVESTIES, THE RULES OF THE
GAME, LOVE FOR LOVE, Moliere's THE SCHOOL FOR WIVES and many others.
He was onstage
regularly at the Taper and at the Ahmanson Theatre Center (most recently he
performed there in the role of Lucio in Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE and
Theseus in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, both directed by Sir Peter Hall) and he
was widely-seen in Los Angeles theaters, most recently he starred in WAITING
FOR GODOT at the Matrix Theater where he was a member of the repertory group.
He starred
(with Stacy Keach and George Wendt) in the award-winning play, ART, in London's
West End and again, in Ogunquit, ME. in a production directed by Judd Hirsch.
David received
TONY, EMMY, ACE and DRAMA DESK nominations, as well as several LA DRAMA CRITICS'
AWARDS, OVATION awards and others.
